Chelsea Crabtree

Chelsea Crabtree grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, and began dancing at the age of 3. She trained at Vostikov's Academy of Ballet throughout her childhood, learning ballet, jazz, Russian character, tap and lyrical, while also playing instruments and singing in choirs. After graduating high school she spent time at Richmond Ballet and then at Virginia Ballet Theatre in Norfolk, VA, before moving to NYC. She continued dancing at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center while earning a B.A. from Hunter College. Chelsea performed in showcases and fundraisers throughout those years, while also becoming a registered yoga teacher and certified personal trainer. Her knowledge of the human body and her own personal experiences have helped her craft an instructional manner that is intuitive, positive and uplifting. After a couple of moves and a couple of kiddos, she is SO happy to once again be back in a dance studio, and is thrilled to be teaching at Ovation!.
