Honk! Jr. is a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling about a cygnet who learns to embrace his differences:
Ugly is a cygnet who is separated from his family and mistaken for an ugly duckling. He befriends Ida, a tomcat who befriends him out of hunger, and other barnyard characters. Ugly eventually escapes a cat who wants to eat him and rescues a swan, falling in love with her. Ugly learns that being different is not a bad thing
